At best, it's mostly stable. At worst, it doesn't show much improvement.

I was able to run 3x so well... What could have possibly happened?

While on the subject of Progressive Scan, why is it even a feature if the graphics card renders to the screen progressive rather than interlaced?

EDIT: It appears that Per-Pixel Lighting is a strain on my GPU for some reason. It's a shame, because that's probably my absolute favorite feature.

You're right, your PC's graphics card renders to the screen in progressive, but the option is to make the emulated GameCube/Wii's graphics hardware render in progressive.

You have an interesting problem. Hope you work it out. I think you have a leak of some sort as it gets slower and slower gradually, but i don't know what sort of leak.
Thank's Skid.

By the way, nice emulator. I can safely say I run Dolphin at least once every day. Sometimes even without playing a game!
Ok, switching over from the other thread.

Do you have the logs disabled in Dolphin?

No. What would you like me to do? And give me steps, because I don't know what you want.
Under View, click on Show Log Configuration. Make sure that they're all toggled to off and that the write to file is unchecked.

Hmm. Well, it was all turned on and set to max, but it's off now.

It isn't showing any notable improvement, but what interesting is that whenever I enter fullscreen sometimes the cyan FPS numbers flash black. I'm pretty sure that's due to slowdown, but I just felt it was worth saying because it was so jarring.

I'm also pretty sure this isn't worth mentioning because it's a bug in the game itself, but whenever I stay on the Pause screen on Project M for long periods of time the CPUs do some weird stuff like dodge rolling in place on the cliff or something. Programming bug or something wrong with the CPU?
I just registered because I've also found performance drops with the latest versions of Dolphin.

For instance, with 4.0.2 I can run GoldenEye at 3x IR, with vsync, perfectly at 30fps with no drops whatsoever. With the latest revision, I can only run it with 2x IR or setting Auto (Window Size). Don't know what happened but it seems only some games are affected. Sengoku Basara for instance runs great on both 4.0.2 and the latest revision.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot. It seems that only D3D is affected, OpenGL ran fine on both 4.0.2 and latest rev. as far as I tested.
higher IRs are sometimes slower on older GPUs due to us supporting more modern stuff for more accurate emulation.

I wish I had a better answer for you. I'm only guessing on previous experience; so maybe someone else will have another point of view.
JMC47 is mostly correct. Because Dolphin is focusing on accuracy, some things that may not have been properly emulated now are, which makes Dolphin more resource intensive. There have been many, many speed ups also introduced for various things and the latest dev builds are now the fastest they've ever been, but increasing IR may tax the GPU more than it used to so you can't get away with as much extra enhancements as you used to.
