I've been trying to play Super Mario Galaxy with the emulator, but I'm running into two problems that, combined, are preventing me from doing so.

I have a Wiimote and a Nunchuck, however if I start the game in Real Wiimote mode it does not recognise the Nunchuck being plugged in.

As an alternative, I've tried launching the game in Hybrid Wiimote mode with keyboard keys defined for the Nunchuck. This does get past the Nunchuck connection screen, but then the Wiimote no longer works as a pointer. It responds to key presses, for example I can bring up the Home screen, but it no longer tracks a cursor with my sensor bar at all (this works relatively well in Real Wiimote mode).

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could do to fix either of these problems? Using the real Nunchuck would be my preference but I'm sure I can live with the hybrid solution.
Does this still happen in the latest dev builds (4.0-5238 as of writing)?
I'm having similar issues with my wiimotes and nunchucks, but on a realy wii and with dolphin+dolphinbar. Try cleaning the connectors, and maybe scratching them with something metal. I know that my issues are hardware related.
Yes, I've tried it with dev builds from today and from a few months ago. Problem remains the same - in real mode the Nunchuck isn't found, in hybrid mode the Wiimote doesn't "point".
How are you connecting your Wiimote to Dolphin? a bluetooth adapter or DolphinBar?
Bluetooth adapter.
Are you using the Toshiba stack software?
I don't think so, is that supported on any hardware? I'm using an ASUS/Atheros bluetooth radio on my motherboard. The hardware is listed as ASUS Bluetooth, and Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator.

For the record this is a normal Wiimote, not Plus.
Probably not then.

Ok, last question: is this an official Wiimote from Nintendo, or a 3rd party version?
I suspect it's third party, because it doesn't actually SAY Nintendo anywhere on it. That said, it does seem to connect fine to Dolphin as both a controller and a pointer in real mode. Just... for some reason the Nunchuck isn't detected. Could it actually be the Nunchuck that's at fault?
