Are you trying to load a savestate from 3.0 in 4.0-5163? No wonder it's hanging! Savestates between versions is baaad, even when they are only a few revisions apart, and not thousands! When moving, use the ingame saves for whatever progress you wish to keep, make the move, and make new savestates in the new version.
Okay. So when i tried to load an actual game save on the new dolphin it says memory card corrupted and asks if i wish to reformat it or w/e so i said yes, But there was no saves available just start from beginning. I tried moving the folders again to the user folder of c:/user/"user"/mydocuments/dolphinemulator and also copied them in the new dolphin folder and when i try to play when it asks to press any button to continue, it doesnt recognize that im pressing anything.
nvm i changed controler 1 to standard controller and now it recognizes when i press a button, but that after the nintendo logo it just turns black.
I turned off idle skipping and now it works again but asks me to reformat the memory card again and there is no save file available.
i really dont want to start all over plz help.
*sigh* It has already been explained to you. You need to save in 3.0 with in-game saves, not savestates, then transfer your GC and Wii folders into your new global user directory.
Memory Cards and Wii saves are compatible going back waaaay further than 3.0, so as long as you can save in-game in 3.0 and load safely in 3.0, it will work in 4.0-5163.
and i explained that i tried that and when i go to load the game there shows no save file. It asks me to reformat the memory card because it is corrupted.
yea u guys arent much help. Nor do u seem to care. Obviously my wanting to play this game is too much of a burden for u. *Sigh*
Short of us doing a remote connection to your computer to diagnose the issue, I'm not sure what else we can tell you to try that hasn't already been tried.
Before playing a game, can you open the Memory card in Dolphin's memory card manager? (Tools > Memory Card Manager (GC) ) When you load the card up by clicking browse, does it show anything?
Nope, once i click browse it shows the memorycard.raw but after i double click it it just brings up the banner, title, comment bar but nothing under it. I have team veiwer if someone would be soo kind as to try to do fix this for me.
also the memory card is in C:\Users\Sheila\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\GC\MemoryCardA.USA.raw. maybe i put it in the wrong spot?
