Hey so I know the gamecube adaptor for wii u isn't supported on Mac yet, but I was wondering, when it is, if this kind of adapter can be used/if you can use it with a PC now:

http://www.amazon.com/GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Wii-PC-WiiU/dp/B00RSXRLUE/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1421638864&sr=8-7&keywords=gamecube+adapter

I just bought it for my Wii U and I was just curious if anyone knows if this works currently.

Thanks for any help!

In-built Dolphin support for OSX might not be for a while.  There is a OSX driver in development.  You can try that out here:

https://github.com/area/wiiu-gc-adapter-osx

As for the Mayflash clone, I do not think there is much information about it yet as it is still quite new.  Let us know how it goes if you test it out with the kext driver.

I shall do, the mayflash should be arriving tomorrow so I'll reply when it arrives.

Awesome, look forward to hearing back about your experiences - mine shipped today.
Alright here's the deal with the Mayflash adapter guys:

For PC:
I got the adapter to successfully connect to my PC using this guide: https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=How_to_use_the_Official_GameCube_Controller_Adapter_for_Wii_U_in_Dolphin

The only thing is Zadig can only detect and install the adapter as a driver when it is in "Wii U" mode rather than in PC mode.

For Mac:
I tried using this link provided by skid and apparently I have to compile the data in a C++ in order to get the .kext file to use it as a controller. I think Mac users are going to have to wait for the Devs to have a way to fully support it in Macs before we will be able to use it.
Rawl,

So are you saying that in "Wii U" mode the Mayflash adapter acts exactly like the currently overpriced official one from Nintendo, with 100% correct analog stick and trigger response in Dolphin?

The link you posted is a blank page.

Wow! Great news, makes me very happy with my purchase a couple of days ago Smile

I think you mean "out of stock" rather than "overpriced". The price of the official adapter is nearly half of what this mayflash adapter costs; there's just no stock available from Nintendo so other sellers are taking advantage of the high demand (including mayflash, it would seem).
That's what I implied. A couple weeks ago someone sent me a link where the Mayflash adapter was $17 and change. That price MIGHT not have included shipping, so i'm not 100% sure on that.

Right now it looks like the Mayflash is going for $35+, I think I'll just wait till I can buy the official Nintendo one for $19.99, given 2 out of 5 Mayflash products I've purchased in the last couple of years were either DOA or lasted less that 6 months.
