Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

hy all i am quite new here so euh i already stumbled on my first problem :O
in the compatible list they say metroid prime (usa AND europe) are perfect playeble, nut when i want to play the game through dolphin it says intro...and i dont get farther than that either >.> so what is with the comaptibility list? is it still correct or does it need a new list?

here are my specs of my oc;

and phenom II 940 @ 3.6 ghz
4 gb ram
9800gt videocard
windows vista ultimate

i hope somebody can help me i was finally getting to play my metroid prime again after my gamecube got the death spell but alas i couldnt...

I hear enabling "Safe Texture Cache" in the OpenGL plugin or I think Game Properties as well helps with it.

Dude....that thing doesnt change when you run an older or newer build, cause it doesnt automatic update. You can change that in right click> properties.
Just press press play, and you should get a newer build also.
I borrowed the PAL version from a friend cause someone said that NTSC had problems and it works just fine.

actually it does auto update and usually what it says is more acurate the compatibility list is out of date

Lol really? For me it never changed...=P

every build it updates when there was an update in the cheat database

like my post says i have tried it. i coulndt get further then the intro the moment i can get in fisrts person the emu crashes >.>

so is there a way to play the game or am i screwed until there is a version of dolphin to re;ease? and also where can i find older versions of dolphin? maybe there is a version out there that can play the game.

EDIT: i tried the save texture stuff and i can actually play the game BUY is there a way to increase the fps? i get alot of fps drops etc and well i dont want that

I tried lots of combinations but I still get low fps at the begining for example (big areas).

Damn it! then there is something wrong here cause my Zelda TP was still showing "no SounD" (GC).

get game booster and tht should help alot or a little...depends
