I used an original Wiimote.
Huh, I wonder if I could be having a driver problem. Windows installed its own drivers and I can't seem to get the drivers from the CD installed.

There is a firmware update for the Dolphinbar: http://www.mayflash.com/support/download/

However, you have to follow the directions on this page. Go to the Q/A tab.
Yeah I did all of that and the firmware updater said mine was already running the new firmware and wouldn't give me the option to update. Are you using the drivers that came on the disk or windows drivers?

Disc. I don't really know what to tell you.
That must be my problem. Somehow I have to force it to use the drivers from the disc. I appreciate all your help.
*sigh* I sleep through the exciting stuff.

First of all, the Dolphinbar requires dev builds of Dolphin. It does not work in 4.0, 4.0.1, or 4.0.2. Specifically, it needs to be better than 4.0-2241.

Next, do not use the 1+2 trick with the dolphinbar, you don't have to. Sync the wiimote to the dolphinbar and then just press A and it will connect to the dolphinbar.

Once connected to the dolphinbar, make sure Real Wiimote is selected, and then either press refresh or (even better!) turn on continuous scanning and then open the wiimote screen or run a game. Since the wiimote is connected to the dolphinbar already, it will instantly connect and just work. It's great!

Try it with all of those things in mind and see if you are still having issues.
Well changing to the newest development version of Dolphin fixed my issues so for all of those wondering the OLD wiimotes WITHOUT motion plus DO work with the Dolphin Bar. I still seem to have a few connection problems but I'm sure I can iron them out. I will post results when I have time to do more testing.

Thanks to everybody who helped with my issues. I really appreciate your time and advice.

The Dolphin Bar is an awesome accessory.
