Hi all!

I just received my Mayflash Dolphin Bar in the mail yesterday. Today I tried getting it set up so I could play some Super Mario Galaxy. However, it's just been a giant headache so far getting it to work correctly with Dolphin.

I am using a normal Wii Remote + Nunchuk (No motion plus). I've updated the firmware on the dolphin bar to the latest version, and I have synced my Wii Remote to the dolphin bar. I can use my Wii Remote to move my mouse cursors, and use the nunchuk to scroll up and down on my web browser using mode 2, but I can't seem to get the Wii Remote to function properly within Dolphin.

For starters, in the Wii Remote config menu, Dolphin isn't recognizing any bluetooth devices, so I can't use the Real Wiimote setting. I was under the impression that I should be using that setting?

I am using Mode 3. With using Mode 3, I can configure my controls for either Emulated Wiimote or Hybrid Wiimote. Using Emulated WiiMote, I can start the game, and get to the save select menu. From there is where the problem starts. The motion is configured completely wrong. I can barely move the cursor by moving the WiiMote and I can slightly move the cursor using the nunchuk joystick. Within the Emulated Wiimote config, it allows me to change up the controls. Maybe I just have to do some configuring? Maybe my issue is that I just don't know the proper way to configure the remote.

Now within Hybrid Wiimote, I can change up the controls just the same as if I was using Emulated Wiimote, but when I load the game, it says the controller is not connected.

So I try Mode 4 on the Dolphin Bar. Real Wiimote still isn't an option, and now when I try clicking refresh, it crashes Dolphin. Also, when I select Emulated or Hybrid Wiimote, I can't configure any controls. Nothing responds at all.

Has anyone else run into this same issue? If you guys need any additional information, just let me know. I'm in a bit of a rush at the moment so I might have left some details out. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
I just plugged mine it when I got it and it was good to go. Didn't even update my firmware until a few days later, and only did it for shits and gigs lol.

What version of Dolphin are you using? Never mind I checked your profile, so I don't know what's going on. Or why so many people have had problems, it was a dream come true for me =/
Grab the latest dev build.
Also, are you running the v2 or v3 firmware on the Dolphin bar?

I'm running v3. When you say dev build, you mean for Dolphin correct? Not the Dolphin bar firmware?

Just for clarification, if everything was working correctly, I would be able to choose Real Wiimote as my option, and I'd be good to go? No configuring?

Yes
I am having the same exact problem and I also received mine today. I did everything that OP did and installed the latest version of Dolphin.

Yes

I downloaded dev build 4.0-4993 and I still can't use Real Wiimote. I tried Emulated Wiimote again, and it's still not right. IR and Swing are all out of whack.

I switched my Dolphin bar to mode 2 and I can move the cursor perfectly.

This is so frustrating Sad
Hi,

It's my first post here! I also have the exact same problems as the first post. I am also using OLD original wiimote without the motion plus. Tomorrow I will buy a new one and see if that resolves the issue. I will post back and let you know.
Someone on reddit helped me out.
Check out this guide: https://dolphin-emu.org/docs/guides/configuring-controllers/#Real_Wiimote
You just need to select Real Wiimote in the drop-down list and hit refresh and press the 1 and 2 buttons. If you feel a vibration, you are good to go.
The press 1 and 2 trick didn't work for me guyinthecorner. What type of wiimote are you using? Does yours have the motion plus built in?
