Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

OS: Windows 8.1
CPU: i7 5930K @ 3.5 Ghz (6 cores)
Mobo: Asus Rampage V Extreme
RAM: 32BG DDR4
GFX: I have a choice here of my old Crofssfire setup with two HD 7970 OC or a single R9 290X
Storage: 4x intel 520 SSD

I believe these system specs are more than adaquate. 
So I guess which graphics setup would be better the two 7970s in crossfire or the R9 290x?
For general gaming the 7970 are preferred but I don't know how Dolphin handles Crossfire.
 

Dolphin has no use for crossfire, it will only use 1 GPU
