The High-Perf trick works on every AMD card from the oldest HD5000 series to the latest R9 series.
Older drivers can be stubborn, sometimes it works only after the 3rd try or after a reboot.

Fixed.

Turns out it wasn't working because I messed up GPU overclock values earlier. Sadly I can't get stable 60fps in SMG even in HP mode because of GDDR3 memory's bottleneck. Thanks again for your work anyway!

Did it work *with* the overclock?
Tip: You can overclock beyond the limits of the CCC and use high-perf mode at the same time with this trick, but it requires an extra step.
No need to run third-party tools like Sapphre Trixx in the background.

Happy New Year !
Updated to v0.949 - HAPPY NEW YEAR EDITION

Now it does. I doubt I'll achieve satisfactory framerates even if I'll raise voltages though. Happy New Year to you too!

Try this test build and compare the performance to the latest master build. This build should run a lot faster. If you experience the same thing, that means "regression confirmed !"
This build actually performs a little bit worse on my machine. It's okay to use it with latest build's libraries, right?
What are your graphics settings, BTW? 6xIR is just too much for that old GPU of yours. 3x should be fine.
Updated to v0.95:

* Updated recommended IR / AA settings

Just 2xIR actually with everything else on default.

That means your CPU is the bottleneck, not the GPU.
Try the latest dev build:
https://dolphin-emu.org/download/
Go to Options -> 'Advanced' Tab and set the "CPU clock override" to 50% or even 30%.

I assumed that could be the case, but none of the CPU cores is fully loaded during slowdowns. This hack seems to have reduced the sound lag a little, but framerates are still bad.
