When i use any resolution besides the 1x native resolution i am getting a transparent square in the top left corner, and when i use the native 1x resolution i get the square right in front of me.

Using direct 3D 11 and/or OpenGL produces this but Direct 3D 9 does not, but dolphin stutters horribly on that setting despite only using 30% of my CPU, stutters enough im having a hard time to fully see if that square appears or not. I havve attached 2 screenshots showing each below.

No amount of checkboxs or settings iv'e changed has helped so far.

Anyone know how to fix this?

This used to be a common issue in MK Wii, but not anymore. Stop using 4.0.2 and use the latest development revisions (https://dolphin-emu.org/download). 4.0.2 is old, slow, and buggy in comparison to all the changes that have been made (nearing almost 5000 changes since 4.0.2 came out). It should help with your speed issue too.

Switched to the newest developer build 4.0-4843, but the square still stays, only appears on mario kart, so for now ill just skip that game.

That's because you override the default settings when you open the graphic settings when the game is running. It needs emulate format changes.

I've always closed the game and restarted dolphin when i made any setting changes, but switching to the new build DID remove the square from always showing, (forgot to undo the free look option at first), the square appears when i use the "Free Look" option to move the in-game camera around. Not that it will hinder my gameplay anymore Smile
