Essentially paid 2 times the value of the performance you got. Really, you overpaid on a lot of the system then if you don't PC game, unless you do something else with your PC that you need 32GB of RAM or those other specs for.
Any specific reason you chose those specs if you don't PC game? Or do you do something else that you need it for?
Dolphin was never an intention.
I bought a lot of higher end gear as I don't intend on upgrading every 5 minutes either. I'm not as fussed on the cost of this build as I sold a few things at the time and wanted to treat myself a little.
For what it's worth I do use it for image and video work. So the ram is useful.

I see, I mean if it's to treat yourself that's great.
I just was confused because a mobo like that isn't worth the cost unless you're overclocking competitively (Asus does a great job marketing their ROG brand and I commend them on it).
The card has 0 longevity. Nvidia has shown in their latest gaming updates that they don't care about Kepler (GTX 600 series and GTX700 series).
The GTX 760 isn't a "new" card by any means. It is the GTX 670, but it's a more cutdown version of this card. The GTX 670 released May 10th, 2012. So the hardware is 2 years, 7 months old. Maxwell is out now, Pascal is coming out next year, Nvidia isn't going to be caring about the GTX 760( as they've already proven in recent driver updates/game releases) at all moving forward. GTX 700 owners have already been upset about this and there is a massive thread about it over on reddit.
Just felt you should know the full extent of what you purchased because I see a lot of people get screwed, especially with how video card companies rename GPUs. They think they're getting a new GPU, but they're getting something that's been renamed a couple of times instead. Common practice with GPU industry, very very annoying.
If you want to have the stuff, just for the sake of having it, that's ok, just felt you might want to save yourself a few bucks and put it into things you'll actually see benefits from.
When you upgraded from a 5850 than its a pretty substantial improvement. And with going on how little I use it for gaming I wasn't overly fussed with bang for buck. This build was entirely focused on being aesthetic. It's in a open lounger room and all my hardware (speakers and the like) are all in my opinion good looking.
More for the fun of it I built it with every component matching colour schemes. I know that's not normal but for me it was a bit of fun.
I also bought many of these components 6 months ago.
