Did you try .dol-swapping? You can't start any of the games through the main menu for now.

Yeah, DSP LLE sound plugin is the only one that works but the sound quality is horrible.
oh, didn't know that Undecided ...hm, is the sound really different from the GC version? If not it might only be one tiny switch in the code for a dev to pull to make it work with HLE, no? ^^
I was wondering as a solution to this game's problems rather than using the alt-dol method would it be possible to seperate the three games so that each one runs seperately not sure how it would be attempted but it might be more convenient than having to change the dol files of the disc every time you want to play one of the 3 primes
you don't have to do it every time. You make 3 isos, and each has a different dol...making all three games playable (if it wasn't for HLE sound not working :-| )

Yeah I am curious why the sound works in HLE in the GC version. Sadly I know nothing about coding, but it seems odd that there is such a difference b/w the GC and Wii games?

hello all,
i am tring to play Metroid Prime Triology but i start the game, there is the emblem of Metroid Prime 1 and.... the game frezzes Sad
Is there any real reason to even play this trilogy when all the games play decently well in their single game form? All the trilogy does is cause more problems. I'm sure there are some problems with the games still when played on the 1, 2 or 3 versions, but the Trilogy seems to be a bit harder to emulate seeing as all the games are on one disc.
@ Starscream: Well...there might be some people who don't have all these games but only the Trilogy...those wouldn't care too much about how well the single game versions work, right?
Also, emulation is not just about being able to play something (well) but about the interest in the code and the challenge of perfecting it. And for that part, this title is one of the most interesting, actually.
@[SS] Starscream: For starters, the games being on one disc isn't an issue. This can be easily remedied with dol files. The only real problem is the fact the audio only works in LLE at the moment. As far as why play the Trilogy when the GC versions work fine with HLE audio, the Trilogy allows you to play Metroid 1 and 2 with a Wiimote.

I don't see people complaining about the challenges of the code. They are complaining about not being able to play the game, because, they want to play the game.

Well, you answered my question then. That's a good reason to play this version.
