Don't rely on the Wiki. It's often outdated. Metroid Prime 3 works very fine. Enjoy

Except for the the various crashing on the third in the Trilogy. (Not the standalone version, the version in MPT.)

I rectified that for you.
Should work fine with skid's ES_LAUNCH builds. The best solution of course is to play standalone versions

The crashes I've experienced are not random:
Every time the Wii menu is opened by pressing the Home button on the Wiimote.
Every time visor selection, save menu, options menu, or map is opened after a save state is loaded.
These happen every time
without fail. That's not random.

What are your specs?
Everything is in one or more of my older posts. I even made a video showing the crashes. I don't remember my specs off the top of my head an don't currently feel like searching for them.

Well, without specs, we can't help you.

Somehow, I don't think my hardware has anything to do with the problems I'm describing.
OS: Windows 7 x64
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3.2GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 x2
RAM 16GB @ 1600MHz

2 stars is right. The rating is specifically for the unmodified builds with an unmodified game. In that scenario, you can't get past the main menus. Plus the wiki describes how to make it work on the page. I think the wiki rating is exactly what it needs to be.

With your own compiled build of ES-Launch or DOL-swapping, and with saving problems for Prime 3. Assuming that save problem is still around... it is right?

That depends. Are you talking about problems with saving, or with save
states?
I haven't had any problems so far with saving MPT3, as in in the game like you would if you were playing on a real Wii. However, using save states is completely broken.
