Yeah, that'll be awhile. It's currently on loan to a friend of mine.
It turns out it was a bad rip. I redid it and it's no longer crashing.
I spoke too soon, apparently. Now it crashes, but it seems random as to what causes it. Sometimes it crashes on loading a save state, sometimes from opening the scan visor... It's very annoying.

EDIT: Also, the suggestion on the wiki to disable dual core mode doesn't make any difference.
I think the majority of the crashes I'm getting are reproducible. For instance, I've noticed that if I start the game and load a savestate, bringing up the visor select screen, attempting to save, or pressing 1 or 2 on the WiiMote (, anything that brings up a different screen, actually), all cause the game to crash. The game also crashes when pressing Home, whether having loaded a savestate or not.

I've made a video of the crashes. In game, this at at the first appearance of Ridley, after seeing your first PED Trooper take out some space pirates, but it doesn't matter where the savestate is made, loading it causes freezing:

For the most part the game has been running fine for me when i play on Windows 7. However, the game keeps freezing and crashing when im in combat
just passed prime 1 and had a great time, then booted echoes to find that damned visor glitch halting everything. EFB>RAM really kills speed unless the IR is dropped, and you can't just swtich from texture to RAM when you need to scan something because it causes crashes half the time. i knew the promise of metroid trilogy in HD was too good to be true! i knews it!

aside from the broken audio/volume issues, prime 1 ran pretty well though. is there any chance of the visor issue being fixed someday? in my my opinion echoes looks much better than prime, and corruption even better than both of them; definitely games where you don't want to compromise on the resolution to get them to run.

I haven't experienced this problem. How are you switching, through the graphics menu or via the hotkey?
graphics menu. what's the hotkey? nevermind, found it, press "5." still freezes. i'm using the most current build, d3d9, 2.5xIR, no AA. everything's pretty much default except enabling accurate Vbeam emulation and openmp texture decoder.

Can you post your Dolphin settings pls?

I have just tried out Metroid Prime 3 from this bundle and while I have only played the very beginning, it runs very smoothly (aside from annoying stutters whenever it seems new sounds/animations are being loaded - like e.g. the first time shooting up a crate - not afterwards... and i'm talking "stuttering" as in picture frozen for half a second), so... wouldn't it be time to up the compatibility ranking in the wiki? It at least discouraged me before I found this thread and saw that people are actually able to play it.
