I have a pretty fat P.C but even though I get like 30 FPS and it's, imho, not playable because I want it flawless or It'll go in the trash can. So anyway, I haven't used that .dol swap thing but, this couldn't really be the case because I can't really see how that would affect the FPS. And I'm pretty much using everything default except the resolution which I have on 1080p. I've tried tweaking around with settings based on this thread and on the dolphin wiki with no help... Still crappy FPS/sound issues. Another thing is that I can't seem to use DX11 for some reason even though I'm choosing it. I choose it, play the game and when I look into the settings after quitting the game it's on DX9... Very weird. Thanks in advance!
P.S Check my profile for P.C specs.
Pls post your settings as a screenshot.
btw: Overclock your CPU. This is the best way to gain more FPS.
First of all: Use an up-to-date Dolphin Build - 3.0-1XX is outdated.
Then, check "OpenMP Texture Decoder", "Cache Display Lists" and "Skip EFB Access from CPU".

The thing is that I downloaded the newest build but then I read that for the game to work you'll need this:
http://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/source/detail?r=7324350dfc4b953c088a8b275cf5d85d8fe383ee&name=ES_LAUNCH
So I replaced the newest build's exe and folder with the ones that came with the above link.
Okay i'll try that. Have you any idea why it doesn't seem to work with DX11?
The ES_LAUNCH 3.0-141 branch is the only build that will get this game working without using the dol replacement trick. This game hangs at the loading screen on the latest master branch.
i get flickering/flashing at pendrana drifts
i'm also getting frequent crashes.
Dolphin-ES_LAUNCH-141-x64
@skid: Was there anything wrong with that commit or why hasn't it been merged to master (or reverted)?
what could be causing the crashes with Dolphin-ES_LAUNCH-141-x64?
Not sure about the frequent crashes. Maybe because 141 is old code. Does the emulator continue to crash in single core mode?
The code has not been merged yet because it is still work in progress. Kirby Return to Dreamland is able to detect the HLE and bombs itself. I have to finish the code making the HLE undetectable.
