Just wanting to report an issue - Running 4.0-4432

As soon as I start playing a Wii game with wii controllers, the low battery notification icon comes on all the time. Ill start playing a game with the controller fully charged right off the charger and after 5 minutes it will say low battery. But I will still be able to play for another 2 hours. The low-battery icon comes on randomly. Its obviously not low if it lasts another 2 hours. I tried using different batteries. Fresh brand new batteries did the same thing after playing for just a couple of minutes. I tried switching controllers and it does the same thing. Fix it

Not with that attitude Tongue

This sounds like a hard to replicate bug, so it'll be hard to fix. And we need some more details:

What wii games does this happen in? All of the ones that you've tried, or just one specific game?
What type of controllers are you using? Nintendo or off brand? What model number?
How are you connecting the wiimotes? Are you using a Bluetooth dongle? If so, what drivers are you using? Or are you using a DolphinBar?
Does this happen in the latest dev builds? (4.0-4543 as of writing)
FIT IT YOU F...... Lol... Im joking.... lol... Ive only played SMG on it. Im using regular Nintendo controllers. I found off-brand ones never worked at all. My laptop has built in Bluetooth. It actually handle galaxy pretty good for a laptop all things considered - using LLE. So im actually quite impressed. Im just using the drivers it automatically puts in. I haven't checked dolphin builds since the one I posted, but it happens like 500 builds ago too and still hasn't been fixed when I updated about 4 days ago or so. The issue is simple to replicate. I just keep playing SMG and it happens randomly. On and off the low battery indicator comes. So ya Im not sure why. I don't imagine im the first to point this out. But maybe?
This is the only issue we have with batteries currently open in the issue tracker, and its adding a low battery indicator for emulated wiimotes: https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=6394&q=battery

I say to upgrade to the latest dev build (currently 4.0-4549) because 4503, 4508, 4536, and 4543 deal with controller issues.

Do you have any other Wii games to test it on? I would think it's a global issue, but you never know.

Have you tried it on another computer with Bluetooth to see if you're getting the same issue?
I also have real Wiimotes and can't replicate your problem (tested both SMG and SGM2). BTW, the indicator only show in the game if the Wiimote report to Dolphin that battery is low, so, I suspect your controller may be faulty. Try testing in a real Wii, if that happens even on a Wii, it's not an issue with Dolphin...
Are you using rechargable batteries?
Yes they are rechargeable batteries. I updated as per KHg8m3r's advice: to the latest build today. I will fully charge the batteries and try it tomorrow and see if its been fixed.
It won't be.
Rechargables supply a lower voltage which makes the wiimote constantly think they're low on charge.
I had an old set of rechargable batteries last year that never did that. Also I bought a brand new fresh set of non rechargeable regular batteries that did the same thing
Uh, I use Eneloop batteries in my Wiimotes and they still report the amount of charge correctly. The difference is that they never show the battery as full (4 bars), when the batteries are fully charged, Wiimotes report 3 bars (out of 4)...
