I cant get any version higher than 4.0-4250 to work on the nexus 9. I can open dolphin and adjust all the settings, but when i choose a game it just jumps back to the game list. Any solution?

You're hitting this issue with the Nexus 9.
I'm working around the issue locally, but the workaround is so ugly that it can't be merged. I'm in the process of investigating a better alternative.

Feeling really glad that I ditched my nexus 5. Starting to get sick of google's crap

It won't matter which device you've got if the limit is in the platform framework...

Well I swapped my nexus 7 for a SHIELD, which is the best android gets, and I swapped the N5 for an iPhone. So really I'm at the peak that I could hit.

Just thought this was interesting. Using a custom Lollipop ROM on my Moto G, fastmem didn't work. Yesterday, I flashed back to stock to try out the new official Lollipop. To my surprise, fastmem worked. While using the custom Lollipop ROM, I tried the v66 drivers and the v99 drivers which I extracted from a Nexus 5 ROM. It was nice to finally see those glitched models fixed, but still without fastmem. The drivers in the official Lollipop ROM I am currently using, which works with fastmem, are v84. They still have glitched models, however if I flash the Nexus 5 drivers I'm sure that can be fixed. I don't think the problem can be the GPU drivers though, as the v66 drivers work with fastmem on KitKat but not Lollipop. It's really strange.

Just interested, is there any specific reasons why the shield tablet is faster than the Nexus 9 right now? I thought that the Nexus would be 50-70% faster out of the box because of the much higher single core performance. Is it because the lack of opengl 4.4(Android 5.0) or is there many other factors im just not thinking about?

Are you running Lollipop? They only work with Lollipop as far as I've tested. Also, I got them to work only on my custom ROM, not on official Lollipop, and they broke video playback on the custom ROM. Also, you need a custom recovery and you need to set up a flashable .zip that will install the drivers to the right places for your phone. I'd say it's not worth it, all this just for a chance of working, and a chance of display not working.
