Hi I'm jones, been trying to set up dolphin today and I've encounter a problem. Whenever I try to start up the 64 bit version of dolphin netplay the program immediately crashes and displays the "Dolphin has stopped working" error message along with these details:

I am running

Windows 7 64bit
Everything updated and reupdated, C++ redis., sp, .net, language packs, etc

amd fx8350 4ghz
R9 270x
8gigs ram

The 32 bit version does work but has painfully poor performance, 64bit versions 4.0-262 and older DO work, but 4.0-407 and newer DO NOT work.

If anyone has even the slightest guess, please let me know. And if you need more information just go ahead and ask.
Have you tried downloading and running the DirectX web updater? This seems similar to that problem.

Alright so I was pretty sure that I already had the directx up to date, but I downloaded this to make sure: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...aspx?id=35

Is that the file you are talking about or am I misguided here?
Yup, thats the one. Run it and see what happens. If not, I might know of one other fix

Ran it to no avail, hit me with the next troubleshot
Grab the latest dev build from here: https://dolphin-emu.org/download/

If it still crashes, inside the Dolphin folder of 4.0-262, copy the MSVCR120.dll file and paste it into the folder for the latest dev build

The dev version does work, but it doesn't seem to be able to connect to the other version. This may be due to my ignorance of how the dev/regular versions work. My hangup is that there is no "Connect to Netplay" -> "Host or ID" in order to use multiplayer.

Where do we go from here?

And thanks for the fast/attentive responses

Sorry, the netplay version available from https://dolphin-emu.org/download/dev/c5b...310528b00/
So this version is the one that crashes immediately and that I'm making the thread about, sorry that I was not being clear.

the dev version that I linked is fine and works.
Compared to the DC-netplay branch build, it is faster, but lacks the UDP port stuff.
