As in, Mario Galaxy starts, then an eternal black screen with never-fading on-screen display messages.

Where as Kirby's Return to Dreamland starts, then just white. Nothing but white forever.

So... They both hang on startup and didn't find anything on the wiki.

Using build 4.0-3954.
Try using a newer version. Also, if you're having all your games hang, maybe something's wrong with your settings?
Not all my games, just those two.

I tried reverting everything back to default, no luck.

I would try a newer version, but I hate having to constantly reset everything, and replay everything.

At the very least, I'd like to keep my game data. When using a newer version, do you have to get rid of both the emulator itself and the one under Documents or can you leave the "Dolphin Emulator" under Documents alone? Is this one independent of the version?

How exactly does this work?
Just unzip an older version into a different spot. Kinda like this:

O_O

Does the folder under Documents span all versions then? If that is possible. I mean I could.... But my OCD would go nuts. Hm...
Yes, the Documents one just holds the save files and other user generated files that can span the different versions.

Really? I think it's quite a good system, and I can go back in large leaps to find bugs to bisect issues Smile
And it is customizable anyway. Give this guide a read to learn more about to system and how to change the location or have it work like the old versions.

I certainly think it's a good system, it just tickles my brain too much x-x.

Thank you so much. Sometimes all this gaming gets in the way of common sense, as in looking for stuff like that right under my nose.
Welp, I upgraded to 4.0-4091, still no luck :i. I even did a complete wipe/fresh install of Dolphin. I'm getting these errors with Mario Galaxy though:

And of course they never stop re-appearing and I can't close Dolphin unless I end the process through the task manager.
Perhaps your ISOs are corrupted, have you verified the MD5 checksums with GameTDB?
Right-click the game in Dolphin, go to properties and to the info tab. Click on compute and match the checksum with one on that website.
