After reading the IGN articles about the canceled Rogue Squadron re-releases, I have been pining to play the GameCube versions on Dolphin. I follow the boards regularly, and know that the zfreeze bug has been on the radar for quite some time. I'm very, very appreciative of the speed & accuracy improvements in recent months, but still the inner Star Wars fan in me is dying to play Rogue Leader!

I'm willing to start and manage an indiegogo campaign, that'll be paid out when the zfreeze bug is fixed. I'd like to hear ideas in this thread of what that $$ would be best paid to -- site fees, a software suite that would make everyone's life easier, etc? Let's say $500 was an easily reached goal. What would be best spent on, in a way that'd encourage this bug to be tackled?
There's nothing that money could really help with the issue; it's not like no one wants it fixed; there's just no solution to actually fix it yet.
Galop1n could probably fix it, but he's too busy at the moment (not posting anymore in these forums).

And how do you know that, you personally know him, or he wrote somewhere that he would fix it for money? Otherwise it is bad to put words to someone else mouth if he hasn't said them.

I think I read somewhere (on GitHub?) that he was interested in trying to tackle the issue (if he had enough time)
I already offered to buy him a bottle if Chatruse :-D
I would also be willing to make a financial contribution if it was going to help fix the problem.
Does anyone have his contact info? Heck, I'll make the indiegogo payable to him. Maybe the $$$ will convince him to carve out the time.
Ask around the IRC channel.

And this is why i asked kirbypuff about it due to where it might lead, annoying a person for what might be a rumor. If the guy wanted money to fix it he would have asked for money already on his own i think, never mind the fact it is not just a matter a money, money just give you a motive to spent time, they don't provide you a solution to a problem. He must find it on his own and there are no guaranties there.
I suspect it's just a rumor too but it doesn't hurt to ask him and confirm it. And if anyone annoys him he can always block them in 0.3 seconds with one command.
