Oh, well then, try "Puush" then? o.o
those programs will NOT work. Theres no need to even try them. They just grab the final D3D/OGL output - which already got resized by dolphin beforehand.

BTW, if dolphin were actually grabbing the rendered frame, resizing the window while recording the video would work and not crash the emulator, as the resolution remains the same (given IR is not set to Auto ofc)

Oh sorry, I think i've been misunderstanding what you have been asking. Well, the way I got my 4k screenshot was through the new options nvidia added to the control panel that lets you make your tv/monitor 4k. The options is called, "DSR Factors". I read that you tried it already, but my friend and I both only have 1080p displays and it doesn't black out our screens, but then again, it could be only available for certain gpus.

But as far as I know, there is no way in dolphin to take a screenshot at a higher IR.

yep, I used that option as well, but its still pretty much limited to 4x your native resolution, so about 4K for nearly everyone, including me.*

Also, what I tried was custom resolutions (also in nvidia control panel), which overwrites the resolution to your choosing (it actually outputs as such!) DSR renders higher and then scales down again. Somewhat like SuperSampling.

* I do not use DSR, as I set a custom frequency for my displays and DSR is not compatible with custom resolutions/frequencies. So this is also a no-go for me Sad

What resolution are you aiming for anyway? 4x native?

He proably wants to take an 8K screenshot, because 8K (Full UltraHD) is "all the rage" now Smile
what kinda resolution i want to take is kinda not the point. its more like how to capture the rendered resolutions in dolphin or why i cannot do that.

As for what resolution Im aiming for: I dunno yet. As big as possible. I plan on editing it in gimp afterwards which prob. result in a downsizing as well (= additional supersampling) Big Grin
