I'm trying to use SweetFX, which only works with D3D and not OpenGL. However, Xenoblade only goes to a black screen if I start with D3D.

Using Dolphin 4.0-3382
What happens when you use the absolute newest dev version? (as of this writing 4.0-3935)
Same. Black screen on start.
Doesn't sweetfx not work with 64bit applications?
I know it didn't use to, but I'm not sure about now
Does it work without sweetfx? If so then it's an issue with sweetfx. Simple as that. Most versions of sweetfx are 32 bit only but there are some 64 bit versions floating around the net.

It does work with 64bit apps for some time now. I'm already using it with Windwaker, Twilight Princess, and SM Sunshine.
