Hi , i want to build a cheap rig for emulation

the spec as suggest :

Intel G3220 haswell
Ram single stick ddr3 2GB
GPU need recomendation

My target is fullspeed on 720p, can anyone recommend a good cheap gpu?

My target for now is ati 6670 DDR3 , is that enough for 720p full speed? any recommendation ?
Get a Z97 board and a G3258. You can overclock on the stock cooler to about 4.5-4.7, and it will perform the same as an i5-4690K/i7-4790K at the same speeds.

I'm not really sure off the top of my head, but I think you'll be able to hit between 2-3x IR depending on the game, which will put it between 720p and over 1080p
If you're American , you will be able to get G3258 bundle (Z97 mobo included) for 99$

G3258 doesn't require a decent cooler for overclocking , standard cooler will do

Nooo

don`t get any DDR3 crap, save a little more and get GDDR5...

and yes get a Pentium G3258
@admin89

That's a really amazing deal. I'm actually going to consider getting that for my HTPC now.

In-Store only. Sad
well i m in asia and i have a very tight tight budget

My option is very limited

If i use G3258 that means i dont have money to buy a dedicated gpu , and i will stuck with integrated gpu, will that suffice for 2x resolution full speed? or at least smooth speed above 30fps?

Does OC g3258 vs standard g3220 will have different fps, if use they integrated gpu + dual channel ram? and how big is the fps different?
According to Dolphin Benchmark , Pentium 20th Anniversary G3258 @ 4.6GHz is on par with i7 4790k @ 4.4GHz (turbo boost) ....
G3220 doesn't stand a chance
Pentium Haswell iGPU is on par with Intel HD 3000 . It can't handle 2x IR but since Dolphin mainly focus on CPU horsepower , G3258 @ 4.4 ~ 4.6GHz will run most games full speed with 2x IR or even 3xIR
With standard Intel cooler , you can push G3258 to maximum 4.6GHz without a problem . However , please keep the Vcore as low as possible ( <1.35Vcore is safe , lower Vcore higher lifespan and lower temperature)
Better pair the Pentium with Asrock Z97 Anniversary
You can get by with the integrated GPU on around 2x IR for a while, r at least until you can save up for a dedicated GPU, like the Nvidia GTX 705/750 TI

i dont know if i can buy the asrock z97 on the link, in my country z97 mobo is priced around 150$+

This maybe OOT but the can this configuration run PCSX2 on 2x native resolution fullspeed, too?

Or should i wait for broadwell?
