Did you burn it on a DVD or are you installing via USB?
Make sure your ISO is not corrupted if you opted to download that (which I'd suggest anyway).
Then delete the small partition Windows automatically creates and the Windows partition and create one in the Windows 10 installer (it should create a -bigger- partition for its stuff) and try to install.
I'm using USB, I downloaded it and put it on with the installer so I'm not sure how to check if it is corrupted.
I think my mobo or SSD might be bad.
Welp, I tried to do it on a different computer to check if it was the SSD, but that computer doesn't even load the installer XD (I remade the flash drive 3 times to make sure it wasn't that)
Finally got it to start on my laptop (with the SSD installed), but still fails to install

, I'd try using a DVD, but I don't have any.

I really like Windows 7 and I can't see why would I upgrade to 10. Maybe in future.
Well I upgraded my dads PC to Windows 10 from Windows 7 SP1 and everything was so much more responsive. He noticed it too and wanted to keep 10.

It may be more responsive *out of the box*, but with a few tweaks (like turning off desktop composition / Aero Glass and adjusting the visual effects for optimal performance [custom preset]), Win7 SP1 is even more responsive.
There is also a new issue with Win 10 where DWM likes to use 25% or more of your CPU time, causing slowdowns and stuttering in multimedia applications. This doesn't happen in Win 8.1.
I still think software rendering is superior to any Direct3D compositing. The
Direct2D compositing in Win8/10 is even worse (slower and less efficient). And you can't turn it off
With a decent CPU, software rendering is blazing fast and ultra-responsive. The better your CPU, the snappier it gets.
Enjoy your old OS then. But I can assure you that Win10 is a lot faster and responsible than Windows 7 ever had been, at least in my laptop. I haven't tried any of your "gimmicks" with Win7 but it would probably make little to no difference to me, especially when these tips come from someone that is too paranoid to complain about CPU usage of DWM (seriously? I took time to monitor DWM resource consumption for some minutes and it never used more than 1% of my CPU. Never got any "stuttering and slowdown" in multimedia applications while DWM is enabled too)...
I've been enjoying windows 10 since build 10049. Run's like a champ!

Now I have Windows 10 on my laptop, I realise that all my stuff is on the uBuntu partition anyway, and I can't be bothered reinstalling all my software as I'll be back on my desktop in a fortnight. Still, it seems to work a lot better than uBuntu when it comes to actually working (e.g. my wifi kept not connecting properly, until I gave it to my clueless father who pressed random buttons until it magically started working, whereas I've had no issues under Windows, and also it refuses to play sound out of headphones). Now Windows is starting to include previously Unix-exclusive features like a package manager, uBuntu is going to have to get its arse in gear if it's ever to become dominant.
