Are you sure it's targeting your Gamepad? It looks like your keyboard.
thats because i tried mapping controls to my keyboard since the gamepad buttons weren't being detected
What driver are you using specifically? And how are you connecting the Xbone controller to your PC?

there is only 1 xbone driver as far as I know, and it was linked earlier in the thread
the controller is connected by micro usb cable
There is an older unofficial driver. I wanted to make sure you were using that. Do you have any PC games that can use a 360 controller? Any way to confirm that the controller is working?

He said the PC games work fine.
Oh? Hmm. Let's focus on the basics then.
Droid: What is the exact game you are trying to play?
Also, you said that it doesn't pick up inputs. Please describe the process you are doing to assign buttons. Please be as detailed as possible.

I'm trying to play Project Melee, the mod for Brawl.
When I click on a control to try and assign it to a button, it just waits and then stops and doesn't change, even though I press the controller. Right clicking and trying to detect is weird because it tells me which button I'm pressing on the controller, but nothing happens
