@Jhonn did it only a few months (2-3 months ) after he bought his laptop
I don't think his laptop can gather a lot of dust in a short amount of time .
Honestly his laptop shouldn't be doing that.. No matter what program is running.. even if he was able to get the temps down using thermal paste 1-2 degrees id suggest running speed fan or even the nvidia system tools to make sure the fans are actually spinning up... Even if its new doesn't mean there is not a defect. I have even had a brand new laptop where the heat-sync and fan assembly was not attached to the brackets.. Just seems like there is more to it then oh turn off the gpu and apply thermal paste..
There are a lot of "thermal paste roundup/benchmark" I think you should pick one to read
And it's not 1->2C difference
Before
Quote:When playing Dolphin, the temps keep going up from 50 °C until it stabilize at 105 °C, but my CPU still runs at 3.2GHz
After
Quote:Well, I replaced the thermal compound with Prolimatech PK-3 (my local distributor ran out of stock and had only this one, expensive, twice the price of MX-4). I measured the temps with Zelda Twilight Princess in Hyrule Field after beating the game, with LLE, EFB Copy to RAM and 4x internal resolution (The game was unplayable at 9 FPS, was just to stress both CPU and GPU). I left TP running like that for around 30 minutes and 85°C (CPU) and 70°C (GPU) were the highest temperatures I got. Should I still worry?

Still think there was another factor no way there is almost 20c difference with just paste sorry... Could be mb the heat sync fan and gpu sync fan was not properly seated...
I have ran it as admin and still nvidia gpu activity is not showing dolphin is using it.
@admin89 I'm fine running with no increased resolution and graphics I just want to run my games without any issues. I can't even full screen the game without it dropping to around 30 fps.
I hear the fans inside run as soon as I start dolphin or game my fans turn on inside, my WoW uses the nvidia gpu as I can see it in the activity but dolphin doesn't, pcsx2 doesn't heck even watch dogs. I remember a month or 2 ago I was trying to run ff7 on my pc and I was having a crashing issue trying to use my nividia card and I had to replace a .dll and rename one with a _ infront of it, could that be the cost? If it is sadly I can't remember what it is.
But also yesterday I removed my nvidia card from device manager and removed the driver off the uninstall panel and reinstalled it using my disk that came with my laptop.

Is it a coincidence that my laptop had the same issue ? I don't think so
@Starcream - the ex-admin also did it and posted his results somewhere on the forum...

That's not strange to me . When the Nvidia GT 540M was just released , I couldn't get any game to work with it , not even PC game due to the useless driver . It took 5 months for Nvidia to release new driver that make the GPU usable ...
Tips : update your Nvidia driver
Scratch that Wow and pcsx2 are using my nvidia card, for some reason dolphin refuses to.
