Any pre-August 2011 M+ controller has the potential to be a non-TR, anything after is likely to be TR, so it's not surprising to have non-TR. I have both. Open up the battery compartment and look at the model number inside, if it ends in Z-C4, it's a TR otherwise it's not. I have both here: LMA-RVL-WR/M-C8 (non-TR), LMA-RVL-WR/Z-C4 (TR).

I even tried my older black wiimotes and they worked (I had to plug/unplug nunchuck and press alt+f5 a few times, but it worked).
Did I mess up my configuration somehow ? Should I start from sracth with a clean Dolphin install (and what are the steps to completely clean my PC of any dolphin cfg file) ?
EDIT : After toying around with this dev build I think I'm actually gonna keep it, some games that were laggy on my install are running really well on this one (Mario Kart Wii is one of those).
lastest build does make a huge difference. I have the same experience. uing stable release, it simply not recognize wiimote. but with latest build, it worked. although I can only have one wiimote working. (cannot attach more than one, mine is also somewhere around 2012, with motion plus build in ,and also 'not' recognized as -TR .
