Hi everyone,
I have 2 wiimotes with motion plus inside (I know they have motion plus cause I can play wii sport resort on my wii, also, it's written on the wiimote).
However, on my computer they are detected as RVL-CNT-01 instead of RVL-CNT-01-TR (I tried using Windows bluetooth and Toshiba stack). They work fine in game, except for the games that require Motion Plus since it asks me to plug-in the motion plus...
I'm sorry if this has been brought up, every single one of my searches gave me a tutorial on how to connect the wiimotes using Toshiba Stack...
Anyone has any idea on how to fix that ?
EDIT : Forgot to mention, that the 2 wiimotes I'm using are official nintendo wiimotes.
I think your problem might be related to issue 7444 (link
https://code.google.com/p/dolphin-emu/issues/detail?id=7444 ). Your Wiimote plus controllers might be ones Nintendo released before they changed to -TR, so it is possible to have a genuine Nintendo Wii Remote Plus that's Non-TR.
That being said, I'm not sure if this problem should appear when using Toshiba stack. @MaJoR might know more? I only have Non-M+ (=Non-TR) Nintendo remotes and separate dongles, and it's pretty easy to unplug and replug the accessory, and I use Windows stack for convenience.
You should try plugging and unplugging a nunchuck (in the "plug the M+"-screen), even if you don't need it for the game (Sports Resort), see if that helps.

I guess, yea, I can't remember if I bought them late 2010 or early 2011.

It does look like this issue, I tried plugging and unplugging a nunchuck (multiple times) at the "connect motion+ screen" without success.
Thank you for taking the time to help me with this
I'm using dolphin on a PC that is used only for couch gaming, I do everything in it with gamepads (starting games, music, movies :p) so having a fully functionnal wii on this would be a blast ! But if everything fails I can still play on my real wii, so no big deal.
Shameless bump o/.
Sorry.
There's no real solution for 7444 right now if you have a non-TR wii remote plus. With a regular wiimote with the motion plus attachment you can just unplug and replug the motion plus, but you don't have that option... And -TRs don't have this issue at all.
I suggest you post to the issue report and describe how bad it is for you.
Yea all Wii U branded Wii Remotes will be -TR wiimotes, and since you are on the Toshiba Stack already they should work fine.
Hi,
Sorry for bumping the thread once again...I bought the Mario and Luigi wiimotes I was talking about a few posts higher.
-Paired them on my computer with Toshiba Stack (They're detected as TR yayyyy).
-Started Dolphin, everything's fine, both are recognized.
-Started Wii Sports Resort, annnnnd I get the same error message as I did when using the 2 black wiimotes I already had.
-I once again tried plugging a nunchuck but it made no difference.

I don't know what's wrong...
Hmm, the Motion plus thing really seems to give you some hard time. Nice pair of controllers, though.
There are only 3 things that come to my mind that you can try.
- try to keep your controller as close to bluetooth receiver as possible when connecting to dolphin / starting the game.
- try tapping on "A" when you start the game / make the initial connection
- try hitting alt+F5 a couple of times in the "connect motion plus" -screen.
These are just observations from my own setup and the last alt+F5 -tip was the latest addition to the google code issue report from another user. Please report if you had any luck. If nothing helps, then I can't help thinking that your bluetooth receiver is not capable of handling the extra bandwith needed by M+, but I wouldn't know for sure.
That's odd. Can you show me a picture of your bluetooth settings window please.
And just to be sure, please use the MD5 hash checker in the game properties window, and paste the result here please.
