I recorded this using Shadowplay and it took an FPS hit (obviously) but without recording im hitting 50-57 fps and dipping slightly into the high 40's How can we get this to run just as good as the dev board did?

Granted this is on baby park one of the least demanding tracks on time trial but I wanted to see what you thought about it. Other tracks are okay but a bit sluggish and I understand that is expected.

Settings im using: Skipping EFB, ignoring format changes unchecked. EFB set to texture, External Frame Buffer set to virtual. Fastmem checked.

Thanks

I only get 40 fps on my Mipad in time trial on that course, likely as the Mipad renders Dolphin at 2048x1536, twice the pixels that the Shield tablet does, 1440x1080. Need some resolution settings adding pls.
Erm, dolphin renders at 640 x 480 by default. And has resolution settings. Also, the shield's resolution is 1920 x 1200.

Yep but the Mipad has resolution of 2048x1536 or 4:3 ratio so Dolphin displays using the entire display. Shield has 1920x1080 resolution which is 16:9, Dolphin uses a 4:3 ratio so will use a piece in the center of 1440x1080.

I think you're missing the point. Dolphin renders at the same resolution regardless of device. Aspect ratio doesn't matter.

So Dolphin will render at the selected resolution in settings but will just scale the image to the devices display? Then not sure why the Mipad is so slow.
On Mipad at high battery settings, same track, time trial I get between 38-47 fps.

I think it may be the software. The shield is an Nvidia product running stock android. It's possible that the MiPad is bogged down by software or other features.

Could be or it's the poor heat dispersal from the plastic back on the Mipad. I might have to get a Shield tablet in to play with.
