On console it seems to actually be bloom applied to the model or whatever the bloom is applied to, but when playing on dolphin, it seems like the bloom is not actually on the object and is going in all different directions. I believe it is actually offset bloom. It fits the exact definition.

I've done comparisons to Console, Dolphin really isn't doing anything wrong outside of upscaling the bloom.

Also, if that really is true, other than using a build with no bloom, what other way could there be to at least dull down this effect? because it honestly just doesnt look right

Mainly what you're seeing is that it's meant to be blurry. When it's blurry, at 480i(or P) you can barely see it if it's subtle, so it has to be overdone quite a bit. That's why on console, you don't see it quite as bad, where as on Dolphin at 1080p, with Scaled EFB on or off, you can see it really well. Hell, with scaled EFB on at 3x IR, you can see the outline of the object! This was not intended; it was meant to be really blurry thanks to the low resolution of the console. The only way to really fix this would be to make a game-patch or cheat code that disables the bloom like the Twilight Field Hack was converted.

Or play in native internal resolution right? Or would it still be just as visible? Think I'll try that but I have a bad feeling it won't fix the issue.

Or you can turn off scaled EFB; which will make it really blurry again.

without bloom:

question is, is there a way to make the hires pack work on 7700m build?

I could not agree more! I really like Victor Rosa's texture pack, but I cannot stand the way dolphin handles custom textures because it really stutters. What I really wish someone would do is make some sort of hack to just disable the games bloom on the newest build. It really is needed because as many would agree upscaling with dolphin on this game messes up the look of the bloom. Just like jmc47 said, it really just was not meant to be running at such a high resolution. If someone could make a patch or hack or cheat code something, this game would be perfect.

Started playing the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess on the 4.0-2498 version of Dolphin and noticed the bloom ghosting problem when I arrived at the first twilight place.
Actually went and played the Wii version, and noticed the bloom ghosting problem isn't as noticeable.
Played with the recommended settings for both with the internal resolution turned up 3x. Do wish there was a way to turn off bloom, since I do prefer the GC version due to the gamepad and camera controls.
Does the texture pack make the ghosting look less noticeable in the twilight areas?
