I got the Gamecube Mayflash PC adapter thing and all of a sudden it isn't working do you guys have any ideas on why it isn't working? I am using dolphin version 4.0 because I can't download 4.0.2. I am using a Mac laptop and and OSX. Sorry I am new at posting threads or posts or whatever you call them. Thanks for replying to my post!

Best to define "not working". Maybe show a screen shot of the config.
The mayflash adapter likes to do this. I usually have to bang it around to get it to work again.
LOL, I imagine that only works a few times till you have nothing left.
When I plug in the Mayflash adapter and I go to the gamecube controller to see if it is working it isn't like I can't move in games, or the d-stick isn't moving around.
That didnt help much?
Lets start with the basics...
1) did you test the controller in the OS. (I dont know where to test that on a mac, but openEmu may be one place.)
2) make sure you set up port one to be a GC controller under the dolphin config menu.
3) set up the GCpad config screen, does the controller work on the config screen?
4) if not screen shot you GCpad config screen.
5) if yes, does it work in game.
6) if it does not work in game double check (2).
7) still no good let us know.

it still didn't work
well these were not rhetorical points? Can you at most check off what you didnt and what you found. You really need to get open emu or some way to test the controller out side of dolphin.
Well I can't test in OpenEmu because it doesn't have a gamecube part.
I did set up one port and it still didn't work and I did double check and it still doesn't work in games.
open emu has a controller set up, regardless that its missing analogs it will test the controller. OSX lacks in controller test apps for HID controllers. So its best to have some way to test it, there are also other JAVA based apps that do it but they require more work to get working in many cases.
