I believe I have heard that Dolphin seems to have problems running on windows 8/8.1, and you should download the latest development builds as they are the fastest right now

Yup, heard the same. That's why I'm running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode. I've been playing for roughly 35 minutes straight without any crashes so far! OpenGL and Dsound were probably the fix.

WHO said that? Windows 8.1 user here from more than an year and Dolphin always worked flawlessly (even very old builds), without needing any compatibility setting

WHO said that? Windows 8.1 user here from more than an year and Dolphin always worked flawlessly (even very old builds), without needing any compatibility setting

I run almost all of my programs in Windows 7 mode.
