that helped, now it's some what playable around high 60 fps slows down to around 45fps(when i'm the only one on screen) but the audio is pretty skippy also "vertex steaming hack seems to help"
You read what I said about using the latest development revision right? It's basically a free speed boost. Try it.

That's remarkable. My CPU is clocked higher than yours and there shouldnt be a GPU bottleneck with both our setups. Though with default setting, opengl or d3d, I regularly experience slowdowns. Vsync causes crashes, so there's a very anoying kind of micro stuttering every now and then.

How come the game runs so much better on your rig?
what the hell are you talking about guys? this game runs smooth for me at 4k

Yeah, F-Zero GX runs full speed on my computer at stock clock. I don't know what else to say.
I definitely had to overclock a little more to get F-Zero GX to run smoothly.
I could do most gc games @ 3.8-4.0Ghz, however, after buying a new cooler and overclocking to 4.7Ghz, F-Zero runs just fine.
Really would recommend investing in a good cooler and ram to get some nice OC speeds. Just be super careful. Don't redline your PC too aggressively ;)

like I said it runs the same for me at lowest resolution as it does at it's highest, and I'd rather not over clock my cpu (also while playing any game my no core on my cpu spikes?
I wonder if it's the hyperthreading causing problems. Some people see large drops in performance when hyperthreading is on.

HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE Tongue don't think it's really worth disabling it to get some fps in just f zero lol
It is worth. And not just for F-Zero...
