Hi!

I'm going to buy a new laptop this month and I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if any of this is a good choice for Dolphin:

I'm mostly going to play Gamecube games (Windwaker, Twilight Princess, Tales of Symphonia), but, if possible, I would like to play Skyward Sword. I also don't mind if I can't get 1080p.
Non-gaming laptop will burn like a fire with Dolphin ...Non of them are good for Dolphin
Here is one of those examples :

You should choose sth like this custom gaming laptop :

When you customize it , remember to choose Thermal Compound = IC Diamond , Copper Cooling Upgrade

not even with Gamecube games?
You don't get it huh ? Non-gaming laptops are not designed for gaming . It will run extremely hot when gaming (especially with Dolphin Emulator) . Laptop components will melt and your laptop lifespan will be reduced significantly

Running Dolphin on a multi-media laptop is the same thing as committing suicide
If it's a multi-media laptop with dedicated GPU , dedicated GPU's solder (ball) will melt first , then the mobo....
If you're really tight on budget and still want portability and performance then get this one

It uses the strongest Integrated GPU atm : Intel HD 5200 Iris Pro which is almost equivalent to Nvidia GT 650M
Unlike dedicated GPU , integrated GPU's power consumption is extremely low (1~5W vs 30~ 100W) , you won't need a decent cooling for it

Thanks a lot!
Most laptops with dedicated gpu have switch-able graphics you can switch to integrated gpu (which is what I did) and it shouldn’t overheat as much. I only could reach 98 degrees while maxing out both cpu and dedicated gpu using dolphin for about 30mins if i used integrated gpu I could keep the cpu around about the mid 80s.
Intel HD 4600 bottleneck CPU on some games like Metroid Prime series (GC&Wii) , Mario Kart (Wii) , TLS (Wii) ...
