Me and my friend are trying to use netplay with 2 emulated Wii remotes, 1 emulated from a GC controller (mine) and the other is a PS3 controller.

Every time we play it on our own it works with the emulated controllers, even hosting our own netplay works fine. But when we both play, we can't do anything, the controllers don't work. We've tried version 4.0-652 and 4.0-1957.

Using the same ISO, setting the emulated remotes in every slot possible, and changing it in the netplay menu. Both upright Wiimotes, etc.

Is it not possible to do, and if not, what are we doing wrong? We've tried a lot of stuff.
It won't work in the dualcore netplay branch, it will work in the latest builds. Wii netplay is still very difficult to accomplish with Wiimote + Wii NAND problems. I know for a fact you don't want upright Wiimote, because NSMBWii uses sideways Wiimote.

What version should I use then?
Latest version of Master, I just checked it out not too long ago and it still works.

What settings did you have to get it to work exactly?
Well, I synced up Wiimote settings between both computers (Two emulated Wiimotes, made sure nunchucks were unplugged on both sides. Key configs DO NOT need to be synced between computers.) Anyway, after that, I make sure it's in single core mode, make sure the Wii folders between both computers are identical, and... well, that's all. I'm sure there are all kinds of little settings that the emulator itself synchronizes, but if you do it properly it should work without too many issues. Just try to make as many settings as possible the same.

What slots did you use for each?
Slot 1 and 2 on the Wiimote settings, and then Slot 1 and 2 on the netplay settings. It should work at that point. You should be using the first Wiimote on each players name.

Hey I was having the same problem, I did what you said, except now the game is freezing when I launch NetPlay, we are using the same game, exact same configs, no dual core, same DSP engine, different keybinds.
Any help?
