I received this new computer for my birthday:

ASUS X550EA
- Windows 8.1 x64
- AMD A4-5000 1.50 GHz
- AMD Radeon HD 8330
- 4 GB ( i don´t know the brand )
- I also have Dolphin 4.0.2

I already tried some games and put the settings in ( I think ) the minimal settings.

Playing the demo of Wind Waker that came with the Zelda Collectors Edition, i got 30~40 fps in the menus and in the first room of the dungeon i got 20~29 fps. The real problem was when I entered into the next room. I got 22 fps max and drop as most as 14 fps. The audio was good. Also the heat effect was a little odd because of the lag.

Then I tried Paper Mario:TTYD. The intro was 30~40 fps and audio trough the game was crap, always stuttering. When I reachead the game itself I got 24 fps and droped down as much as 21 fps.

I just want to play Gamecube Games. Super Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Zelda TP, the Mega Man Collections, Paper Mario, Four Sword Adventures, Luigi´s Mansion and Melee.

Im opened to sugestions.
Please help me out. :,(
That CPU is absolutely horrible, its clock is way to low and AMD is way slower than Intel
Both Mario Sunshine and Luigi´s Mansion (no matter which region and despite them being light-weight) will struggle in that APU during gameplay (LM, SMS) and cinematics (SMS).
I was going to be an ass and just tell you to get an Intel CPU but now that you mention, have you tried NSMB? how much FPS do you get? the A4-5000 is a low power CPU so it`s amazing that you actually see some movement in dolphin...

try dolphin 3.5 btw...less demanding...
No it isn't, the latest versions are far faster
So the accuracy vs speed tradeoff is not that great? or you are talking on modern cpus were the diference would be unnoticeable?
So there´s really nothing I can do? I was searching and I found OC, would that help ?

No. Even if you could overclock this CPU (around 2.0 GHz max) it wouldn't be enough for Dolphin
I can't find what I wanted, but here have this instead:

So my only way is to upgrade the CPU... That´s not really good for my but if someone has a sugestion for a cheap, better solution, I would be greatful. Big Grin
