Anyway, thanks again!!!!!
No, I think he referring to the
original outrun from 1986. He's talking about when playing it in an emulator called FinalBurn FF.
This *IS* correct, right skid?
Yes it is..just finished searching about and found out about finalburn FF at the nonMAME site. Can't find any detailed sites on finalburn ff, though (downloads, etc). Also, console versions of outrun 2 have FF, but the pc version does not?
by the way, what wheel do you have isamu?
So been enjoying this game a few days now
(Thank you so much Skid and the other devs) unlocked a few cups and started working my way trough the expert class (again) but there is a small issue that bothers me.
In grand Prix (or any other mode where you can play these tracks) when racing any circuit i usually get 90% to fullspeed,
but when it comes to the sand ocean tracks its soooo sloooow why would that be ? is there anything on these tracks that seems to augment the load ?
As far as i can tell its not the most graphically intensive so why only on these tracks does this slowdown occur ? or am i the only one experiencing this ?
Please someone enlighten me :p
(Also Story mode broken ? c'ant seem to start it when trying to start the first mission the sounds all messed up and after the short demo of the circuit the emulator crashes)
well I would think it's all the sand clouds swirling all over the place?
that fire track with all the fire around the track is slow as well so
I would think particle effects -> slow.

I d'ont know because Fire Field is one of the best running circuits with no slowdowns whatsoever for me.
Sand Ocean is the only one.
Mystery :p

Yes, that's right.
ImbaMe, I am not sure of the cause of the slowdowns. I haven't looked into it but it could be the graphics particles, heavy FPU processing, or maybe heavy MMU processing.

Yeah, Sumo Digital dropped the ball on the PC version and left out FFB support. I was so upset upon discovering this I had to be check in and treated for clinical depression(no joke). That is how much it meant to me. I'm still bitter about it to this day, and no longer hold Sumo Digital in the high regards I once did.
I own the Frex Sim wheel and a Happ Controls wheel(same one used on a real Daytona USA Arcade Cabinet).
Funny, last time I check I got fairly smooth and steady speeds when playing firefeild and Sand Ocean or whatever it's called.

Yeah man, I just ordered a PC FF wheel, and really wanted to play it with FF after seeing it in action for the ps3 version. The PC version looks the best since you can run at any resolution with high AA.
About the wheels, those are really cool! I thought all that happ made were sticks, buttons, and other small arcade gear. I'll check out their site again.
In any case, you got a link to final burn FF? Also, don't put too much hope/heart/whatever into games! It's good to escape computers and get real fresh air whenever frustration hits.
Umm, does this game still work slowly on 32 bit systems with newer dolphin revs?
