All right, I understand.
Well, I have discovered these a while ago; first there is Source Filmmaker: http://www.sourcefilmmaker.com/. This software, apparently, can at least provide some access to a few select game files, models and a few sound files, as this demonstrates: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Vode-An-465265382. While this is unlikely, there is also this: http://downloads.khinsider.com/ http://downloads.khinsider.com/game-soundtracks/album/star-wars-rogue-leader-rogue-squadron-ii-complete-score-g...-. It seems that the people who run this site have apparently gotten access to the soundtrack of the game, and they have access to video game emulators including Dolphin. It is possible, however unlikely, that they might be able to find the codes to extract the sounds and use them to our advantage.

I doubt if this will help at all, but I just that I might show this if anybody is interested in this.

I know quite a bit about Source games, as I play Team Fortress 2 and Garry's Mod. Source Filmmaker is not designed for GameCube games, and it is most likely 100% impossible to rip sound effects from Factor 5's game with a Source engine. I've used Filmmaker before; it's not what you think it is.

Fair enough. But what do you think of the other link? The one where they have extracted the soundtrack from the game. If you look in the lower left section of the page, under “Friends”, you will find a link of emulators that they have used, Dolphin is among them. I will try to establish contact with them and see if they can assist. Do you think that there is a chance that they can?

From what it looks like, Dolphin seems to be emulating Rogue Squadron II at almost 100% speed with new core speedups and zfreeze hacks. It wouldn't be too hard to just go into the game, unlock the Music Hall and play the music while dumping the audio. Unfortunately, the Sound Test feature is only a sequence of a TIE Fighter flying circles around the screen, serving as a test for the 3D sound system. There's no way to play every sound effect separately and dump the audio.

Obtaining the soundtrack would be exponentially less difficult than extracting the game's sound library.

I understand that bit. But I have seen them rip a clean version of the opening credits and some of the cutscenes. I’ll ask them and see how they did it and if they can help. It may be unlikely, but it is worth a shot.

I need a savestate of Rogue Squadron 2 just before charging the lasers. I think you need to use LLE. Also tell me which Dolphin revision you took it under.

Well, I found the video that iteachvader found it on here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7jF8hJP-ck. It was either 3.0.413 or 3.0.415. I hope this helps!

It's version 3.0-413. It took me a long time to find this version, as it was removed from the official archive.

I need a save state and the revision the save state was taken under dammit!

(after ARAJediMaster continued ignoring my request)
That website holds dolphin builds, not savestates! I don't have the game, so I need a savestate to figure out how the data is parsed!
what happened to basic reading comprehension?
