After about 30-45 min of gameplay on Dolphin on any game my whole computer shuts off. I've played Portal 1 and 2, Star Wars the Force Unleashed 1 and 2, SWTOR, Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and more. All of these games I've played for 3+ hours and not once has it ever crashed my Pc.
Your CPU is overheating.

I cab play SWTOR with music playing and not have that happen.
Your comparing apples with pineapples
Emulation is a CPU heavy task, where as playing games is a GPU heavy task.

Cactus day I've heard that before, if this is true how do I fix it?
If it's really the cpu temperature, simply replace the cooler or try replacing the thermal paste first. Ur case needs also good air circulation.
But before all that, start dolphin and watch the cpu temp. to be sure that this is causing the problem. Could be f.e. ur psu as well.
Upgrading to any better and newer machine, since those Turions are ultra-low wattage designed (same about most Intel´s U-model CPUs).

a. download a cpu temp measuring program and a gpu temp program.
start playing dolphin while checking temps. just to make sure it's a cpu heating issue.

b. clean cpu fan if possible on your laptop. otherwise try blowing air into the exit vent to hopefully dislodge some dust. worst case, underclock.

tecfreak, note mobility radeon == laptop and low power freq. laptop.

I'll be building my pc soon, however there had to be a cheaper way. I'm in school and my annual income is negative with tuition and all
