You can't overclock G3220
I just had a spare one lying around, so I tried it. Will be switching to i3 soon, so 3.4GHz instead of 3. I'm assuming base clock of 100, and multiplier of 34, so I should be able to clock it at 3.5GHz if I really needed that extra .1GHz
DirectX 11
4x Native
Scaled EFB
16x Anisotropic Filtering
OpenMP Texture Decorder
Full 60fps in Single Player :

Small dip in Two Player:

And these temps are while the Lid was one.

*Not final, just a test.

But BCLK overclock = suicide . You're destroying both mobo and ram . If you don't mind DOA 1 mobo or RAM or both per year then go ahead
I would choose Pentium G3258 + Z97 to overclock if I was him . I want to play safe

I did BCLK overclocking on my i7 930 to around 4.2GHz and it's still working. RAM will not even boot anyways when overclocking, so you have to underclock it. The North bridge shouldn't really mind too unless your cooling is shit.

If I remember correctly , you have top of the line EVGA mobo paired with that i7
G3220 pairs with low end mobo ....
Btw , Both my Asus and Gigabyte boards blew up due to BCLK overclocking

Sandy, Ivy, and Haswell shouldn't be overclocked through BCLK, but a small oc shouldn't hurt.
p.s My i7 950/ASUS MAXIMUS II and i7 920/ASUS P6T ran at 4.0GHz, with Auto voltage for years.
and yes, my cooling is shit. CPU and GPU are around 50-60 degrees Celsius, so motherboard is probably around that temperature too. I'm going to have to check the SB and MB to make sure they aren't overheating. I'm not too sure what the safe temperature for those two are.

In any case, I went with the i3 4130, and here my results:
1P 4xIR - solid 60fps upto 80 when limit is disabled
2P 4xIR - solid 60fps
4P 4XIR - solid 30 fps
A little disappointing that 4P needed to scale down to 30FPS, but tbh I doubt I"ll notice it without having a comparison beside me

Yup, I'm building a NES with WII, Gamecube, DS, NDS, NES, SNES,....etc .
Controller Support:
Wii Remote, Gamecube, NES, SNES, and hopefully Xbox360 either internally or through external adapters
