Dolphin, the GameCube and Wii emulator - Forums

Hello, emulation noobie here.

Been having a blast emulating Metroid Prime and Twilight Princess for GC.

I was wondering about the different controller setups people are using while emulating Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2.

I noticed most setups are using a Wiimote conected to the PC.

Can I get some pointers on how to enjoy those two games with an XBox 360 controller, if it is even possible?

It is possible, but you'll have to find controls that suit you.

Not everything maps 1:1 to a 360 controller, you'll probably map the IR to the Cstick, and then map the motion jump to either a face button or R2, and then the rest of it is kinda iffy.

I have a sort-of functional profile that works fine (if awkwardly) up to the bit of SMG1 that I'm up to. While that isn't very far, it should at least be a good starting point.
