I saw the Nintendo wifi was taken down but I was wondering is there anyway to play multiplayer with friends directly using a vpn / system link over the internet currently?

There are two systems of custom servers that you can (theoretically; I've only tried one and it worked) use via Dolphin, along with the netplay system for local multiplayer over the internet.

Great, thanks I've been reading up on the project M options. They all talk specifically about smash bros but I was wondering would project M work with other games like Mario Kart etc? Is it the same setup just replacing brawl with Mario Kart for the custom rom?
