I just started using Dolphin emulator and it's fantastic. Great customizability and features makes it easy to use. I've ran a few gamecube games so far and they all work great, except paper mario and the thousand year door.
The sound gets choppy and laggy when there's a lot of sounds and noises going on, like boss fights and whatnot. Every other game I've emulated hasn't had a problem with this so I'm not really sure what to do.

If my specs aren't automatically posted from the registration, here they are:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 740 3.2GHz Quad-Core
RAM: 8GB Corsair ddr3 1600
GPU: Nvidia GT 630 asus 2gb edition
Your CPU is sort of weak and it won´t hadle most games using latest builds. Try overclocking and see if it helps.

EDIT: Did more research about that model and it´s basically a A8/A10 APU but with internal GPU disabled.
It's a locked processor...soo... overclocking isn't really an option. I was hoping that a setting change or something could fix this since everything else works fine with no issues at all.
You can set it to high performance on Catalyst Center options. Do the same with Windows (High Performance mode).

Post screenshots of your settings to see how do you have it set up.
Catalyst center? I'm pretty sure thats a program for AMD graphics, I don't have that :/

I attached my settings
You could try OpenGL backend, it's a bit faster in this game.
Thanks for the help, I found that changing to directx9 fixed the problem completely. I might try opengl too to see what difference that makes too.
D3D9 and D3D11 have minor flickering issues, but if they don't bother you and it's working good enough, then I think it's solved Smile.
Nevermind... As I progress different areas are a lot worse with OpenGL and every other setting.
If you've got an option to use D3D9, you're using something other than the latest master build. That should actually be the fastest, and there's better handling of choppy audio in builds without D3D9.
