To elaborate, JMC47 and I wrote the article, and JMC47 did the testing. I made the graph look pretty, if that counts for anything.

Seriously? The moderators from answers.microsoft.com always telling that installing windows from not original CD / DVD is also violation of their EULA. So, if I have original dvd with win32, I still need to order original dvd with win64, but this will not solve old devices drivers problem.
Please remember to look things up.

What you said was true of everything prior to Windows 8. Even MS is trying to move people away from 32bit, and bundling them together is a great way to pull more people toward 64bit while still supporting those that genuinely need it for hardware reasons.
"I actually have Windows 7 x86 on a separate harddrive, so, that's not really a valid argument."
Ohh, I just looked onto chart and found that in Reference system only windows 7 x64 is provided, so I though you run dolphin_x86 on a win64.
Anyway, you
point that x86 slower, while I
point that they fast enough to emulate most of games on full or comfortable speed. But since nothing will change, there is nothing we can do

You can also dual-boot a 64-bit version of Linux and a 32-bit version (I do that) and you'd probably still get those same kind of results.
As for the EULA, whether that's true or not (I wouldn't put it past MS.com mods to say things that are inclined to induce sales, such as saying you need another disc, this time 64-bit) it's not even enforceable in all states or countries. And realistically, there are only legal consequences for large organizations should they be found in violation of the EULA, and it's always for large volumes of violations. It's just not worth the company's time or legal expenses to pursue individual ordinary consumers (and certainly not good for PR). So even if you did break a dubiously quasi-binding EULA, it's not a valid concern for people like you and me.

Microsoft makes windows install isos freely downloadable >_>
Here's a link:

I have a camera that only works on XP 32 bit. I use a small partition for that purpose, and have a modern 64 bit OS for everything else.
You literally have zero reasons to use 32 bit these days unless it is a mass budget build for a school or business. Gaming or "emulating" on a 32 bit OS is a terrible idea.
Even though having win64 will leave me without working tv-tuner, printer and scanner, it's kinda interesting.
But where is official info about that with official links and choice like win 8.1 x64 download here?
I know MS had some activities like MSDN academic alliance and offered to download their products for students.
Currently if I visit msft.digitalrivercontent.net I can't find anything related to windows. Only office things.
You provided some weird link with weird name that I don't even know what is.
And nothing about windows can be downloaded at official ms site. Only updater is available.
Why would Win64 break your T.V. tuner? I know it was a little harder to get my shitty T.V. Tuner working on X64 (getting drivers, at least,) but it was possible. Do you have a crappy generic T.V. tuner?
As for scanners, printers, etc: I really don't believe that it's impossible to get the working in x64 unless they're ancient. Either way, if you want to stick with 32bit and you get enough performance for what you're doing, just stay with it. The last version of x86 Dolphin is functional as far as I can tell with none of the crash bugs that had been plaguing hundreds of releases. I think you need to weigh your own needs and wants in the end.

In those cases I usually boot up VMWare. I still have my old copies of windows, no reason to get rid of them.
