Hi everybody! I am new member and besides my english a bit inadequate. Just notice Smile
I have Athlon64 X2 5400+ (2800ghz). On Win7 x32, FF4 is slower than 30 fps (14-26) almost everywhere in game. When i installed win7 x64 and run this game (with x64 Dolhin build of course and same settings), it runs faster. Not much, but perceptibly (18-30fps). This is normal for Dolphin, or only for this game? Thanks.

Also i set Frame Limit from 60 to 120 (the game is very smooth and it doesn't slow down any FPS, it's just not skipping them).
The problem with Orleans buids is that he's not keeping all revisions in his Archives so you have to be lucky downloading them the same time it's released as new, as i did.

Hm, so you say you have constant full speed with just C2Q (which is the same as C2D in Dolphin as you correctly mentioned) @2.4 Ghz?
I also play on r4922 32-bit but my C2D 2.4 is overclocked to 2.8 Ghz and I have noticeable slowdowns here and there. F.e. a noticeable slowdown occurs after you pick up the torch in the beginning and walk in the long hallway returning to the elevator hall. The FPS drops down to about 70%. Don't you really experience that?
I tried also D3D9 plugin, but it was a bit slower that default OpenGL. Don't know how you managed constant full speed.
V-Sync is disabled too of course.

Do you use DSP-HLE or DSP-LLE plugin for sound and JIT or JITIL? I tried JitIL too, but it seemed to me exactly like JIT speed-wise in this game.

Sorry, since i started playing with a previous revision i didn't check the beginning with 4299 and i have to say i have little slow downs, but let's say 5FPS less back on the corridor (but if you don't look at FPS counter you don't notice it) I think the part from the room back to beginning point (elevator hall) is not a performance problem but an emulation optimization one. Anyway i'm using JIT with DSP-HLE and prefer DX9 'cause it keeps 1080p res anytime. Big Grin
Speaking about performance i got a significant Dolphin boost time ago with updating my Nvidia drivers too.
I played the game only using Dx9 and it was way faster than OGL, dont know why O_o. Great game, I'm playing in hard now xDD

Hello!
Im trying run the english patched version but always freezes (and i have to reset my computer) after a few minutes. Most of times freezes when i get the lantern on the floor. I already tried the revisions 4771 (32 and 64 bits) and Orleans build 4977 (32 and 64 bits). But always freezes. Doesn´t matter the version, driver (D3D or OpenGL) or configurations. Any ideas?

My PC:
Phenom 9750 Quad Core
Radeon 4870X2
4GB RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bits

Thanks in advance!!

Hello Guys,

Fatal Frame 4 runs great on Dolphin SVN 5000, game is full playable Big Grin from the "Title Screen" to "End Credits" Tongue

With the x86 version the FPS = 28-30 in the most part of the game, slow down only when Sakuya chase you FPS = 10-12, many thank's to Dolphin Emu Team to make this possible without a WII console Angel and Fatal Frame 4 Translation Team "Tempus, Chabi and Mr. Mongoose" for the great work bring this game to English language. Big Grin

Thank You Everyone from Brazil... Sleepy

Bye... Wink
Just curious, this game can play without real Wiimote, isn't it?
Not described in first page... so this is just small question Blush
well, most games can be played with emulated wiimote. If it's much fun I dunno...but I remember someone saying he plays it with Xbox360-controller and he likes it even better than with real wiimote *shrug*
Well, there are some parts where you need to shake the controller when a ghost attacks you. Also you need pitch up & pitch down to control flashlight. Other than that, you can play the game with any regular controller.
