Thanks, that helped.
Tested a bit, and I found D3D9 plugin inferior to OpenGL in this game.

With default settings, the D3D9 plugin was much slower than OpenGL plugin (with "copy EFB to GL texture" enabled) in the first fight scene, I didn't try D3D9 plugin there with "EFB to texture" setting because it seemed it cased major stutters for me each time some cutscene happened, so I returned the setting to the default, and as I said it was very slow in the first fight. Also, as was said already by other people, D3D9 plugin occasionally switches to low-res, I didn't saw that happen with OpenGL plugin.
Actually, I haven't tried this game with OpenGL, yet. DX9 is mostly my plugin of choice; it's just mostly faster *shrug*
For me, the game runs at 30 practically all the time (no synching problems...not need for OpenAL sound); I only have those tiny stutters when cameras are switching.
@ sensor: You're wrong, it has been said that OpenGL does this switching to low-res sometimes...and I said I also had that once with DX9

Well, maybe I need to install DirectX 9 in my Windows 7 box, although DX 11 already comes with the OS.
Actually, I always though that if you have the latest DX, you have basically all versions before it, kinda like Java VM, for example. Guess I'm wrong?
nope. As I'm always saying here: don't think, just do it...just install DX9, even if you have DX183483784384834 already installed. Smile
OGL right now has the advantage of working AA...
well, I play with DX9 with 1600x1200 having a native desktop res of 1280x1024...there's not much aliasing there Wink

At least in the Intro chapter OpenGL plugin didn't do that for me at all, and DX9 did - right after the "song" scene. I haven't played further yet. And OpenGL plugin didn't cause stutter/pause before cutscenes, unlike DX9 plugin...

This happens in Dolphin x32, in x64 I don't have this problem

Just tried... Windows just skips DX9 installation when setup detects that I'm already running the latest version.

I think there is a misunderstanding..

Dolphin can utilize DX9 plugin. You don't need to downgrade from DX11 (nor do I think it's possible in Vista/Win7). DX10/11 already include the older libraries in itself.

You select between OpenGL, software rendering and DX9 in the graphics 'plugin' section.

It is possible to render with DX9 plugin while using a newer version in your OS, of course.
