Please let this myth die already. I'm very sorry for having ever created it in the first place (by accident I might add). This conclusion was based on very very (5+ years now) old data. And may have been improperly collected in the first place due to a number of factors that weren't accounted for.

Shadowplay is an nvidia application. No AMD gpu will ever support it regardless of the series.

Don't pay attention to the specs. GPUs are very complicated systems. Individual specs don't matter. How those individual specs contribute to "the big picture" is what matters. And we have an easy way to quantify and measure that, benchmarks. If a GPU gets better framerates it's faster, period. Regardless of what those specs say. Explaining how even the most basic properties in the published spec sheets are inter-related would require a considerable amount of time and effort. So don't bother unless you're really interested.
As others here have stated 1GB is fine for the vast majority of users. 2GB is needed for crazy resolutions and/or high resolution custom texture packs.
Xenoblade is not really demanding . My low-end GT 540 (28.8GB/sec) can handle 2.5xIR perfectly . So GTX 750 (80GB/sec) would be good enough for 4xIR + High Res texture .
If you want some AA then you should get EVGA GTX 750 TI Superclocked edition :
rokclimb15 Wrote:Got my GTX 750 Ti SC today. So far, so good with 3xIR and 4xSSAA under OpenGL in LoZ: TP.
Btw , 3xIR + 4xSSAA = 6xIR (3840x3168)
But I wouldn't say the same for Mario Kart and Mario Galaxy (1&2) , those games are very intensive on GPU side . You will need a GPU that is equivalent to AMD 7870 or GTX 660 to run those games at 4xIR (no AA)
I've been running Xenoblade with the HD texture pack at 4x IR with a GTX 560 Ti - 1gb of vram at 1920x1080 with no slowdowns. But, I'm also not using AA which does give me slowdown, and maybe my CPU is somewhat picking up the slack. I seen that someone mentioned stuttering in this game, and to my understanding, isn't the random stutter in this game due to hard drive access? I remember reading somewhere an SSD "could" help with that, but I unfortunately don't own one to test it as much as I want to

.
Thanks for info NaturalViolence. Couldn't I get away with buying the Gigabyte Windforce 750 with 2GB and overclock it a little bit or the 750 ti is on a whole different level?
Just in case, the GTX 750 would be better for me because I will be putting it in a small case since it doesn't heat up that much.

You could. But you could also overclock a 750 ti to be even faster than that so it's a moot point.
Ultimately it's up to you to decide how much speed you want and how much money you want to spend. That's a personal choice with very little objectivity. There is no magic pricepoint that's clearly better than the rest. I know that's a hard thing for indecisive people to hear but it's true. Flip a coin if you're struggling to decide. If there is no technical/economic basis for elevating one choice above the other then let fate decide.

I guess you are right. I'll save up some money to purchase the 750 Ti, that way i'll avoid any possible problems in the future and I can over clock it just a little further.
I recently found out about the GTX 750 Ti from Galaxy. Its a low profile card with 2GB of memory. Considering its the same chip and has a boost clock of 1150 Mhz, I'm assuming this will be enough for almost all the games I mentioned in the OP?
