Being able to flash dev drivers or having freedreno with ES 3 support would be great though

You could always try flashing the N7 package. It's a risk, but it would be worth it

The kernel has nothing to do with GPU drivers. I have used the latest development drivers on the Moto G before, I downloaded the Nexus 4 flashable zip and modified it to copy the files to the correct place for the phone since different phones have different system layouts.

That's good news.

SeannyM, great to know, especially as a backup. What about stock roms, sony, sense etc is it still okay to flash it that way? Perhaps you could write a post in this forums or maybe a video on your YouTube channel with a short manual
? I believe it'll be really useful for some people since there are so many problems with adreno drivers

Wierd I tried that way and my device couldn't boot anymore... if you can explain how you did it, it would be nice

That's why I've asked for manual
In fact even display panel id is located in different locations in different roms (sense/xperia) system layout is different, true05-17-2014, 01:13 PM
You need to unpack the drivers zip and find the location of the files on your phone that correspond with the files in your system folder. Then you alter the text file in the zip so the files are flashes into that folder.
