Has anyone seen v7x or higher drivers yet? It's been 3-4 months since the v66 drivers were released and by now Qualcomm should have done something. Also, has anyone tried open source drivers like freedreno?
I haven't seen anything newer than v66.
Freedreno is still a fairly new video driver and only officially supports OpenGL 1.4(OpenGL 2.0/2.1 is coming very soon). We require at least OpenGL 3.1 + GL_ARB_sampler_objects. There is still /quite/ a ways to go until Freedreno can support Dolphin, I've been trying to help Rob Clark in my free time with it but it is hard to get stuck in on a project that I'm not overly familiar with.

Oh I wasn't aware GL support was so limited with freedreno. Hopefully it takes off. I'm all for proper drivers.
A little off-topic but how can we upgrade drivers? As far as I know They come with firmware updates. But, for example, if a phone get a newer driver, can we just grab that driver and use in another phone (e.g. other phone with the same GPU)?
There are dev drivers on Qualcomm site for Adreno 3xx, but it's stated they are for nexus 5, I'm not sure if it's save just to flash them on other devices, perhaps there could be conflicts with kernel

From what I know those are just v66 drivers, which every other 4.4.2 device has. Only the nexus 4/5/7 have the v53 drivers.

Yes, dev drivers are v66 but they update them more frequently, some devices on Adreno 320 are left without driver updates (htc one m7, xperia Z are still on v45) even on kitkat

The xperia Z doesn't even have kit Kat...and the HTC one has v53 with 4.4.2. You are confusing it with the 4.4 update that only had v45. Also the Dev drivers have never been updated. Still v66.

I've said some devices, example : htc one mini 4.4 = v45. About M7, true it's v53 but it haven't changed since 4.3. Regarding dev drivers: previous revision they've pushed was v53 so they do update them, current actual dev drivers were updated 17 Apr 14 (even if it's still v66 there's a newer revision:
OpenGL ES 3.0 V@66.0 AU@04.04.00.006.048 (CL@)

Hmm wasn't aware of that. Don't wanna flash cause it will violate the OTA's. I would if someone could make an app to update the drivers
