Tried this version and is a lot faster for me. Tried on Mario Party 9 title screen with 1x IR
Dolphin DX9 final: 48FPS 81%
Dolphin 4.0-1796: 40FPS 68%
Dolphin LTGC: 66FPS 110%
I found a case that is slower than master, "New super mario bros" wii with efb to ram enabled is about 20% slower than master.
What. I get 93 fps on Master, 103 fps on this branch. NSMBWii, Intro screen. with 4 player in the first sand levels, it's 60 fps on master, 83 fps on this branch.

Have you a nvidia cards ? does nes games flicker as hell with master ? my builds contains a workaround for a driver bug not syncing when reading back efb2ram. that may explain the speed diff.
It says GTX 560 in his profile, so NVIDIA.
I tried NSMBW level 1-1, no XFB and EFB to RAM. I went from about 30 FPS on master (1841) to about 56FPS on this build. I'm on Nvidia GTX660. I tried 2-1 and the difference is smaller (from about 27 to 30)
Can you look into the map issue in ZSS? The tev merge is supposed to fix that but it is still not fixed in d3d. It displays perfectly on OGL, but D3D is still not correct.
Does anyone else have an 5xx nvidia or older series to test NSMB with efb to ram?
I have a GT 430 I can use to test. Will that suffice? What driver release does it need?

I just used the latest drivers from nvidia. Try to compare this version with master and efb set to ram.
